Good Design Award
The Good Design Award is a movement aimed at enriching our lives and society through design.
Good Design has been a sole comprehensive evaluation and commendation system in Japan since 1957.
“G Mark”, the symbol of winning the award has been recognized widely as a mark representing good design.
Our signature “Bamboo Batik Stole” has been awarded “G Mark” at Grand Hyatt Tokyo and was exhibited in Tokyo Midtown from 31st October 2018 to 4th November 2018.

The yarns are knitted in many interesting ways to form sheet of fabrics or into a product.
Living in qualities is an art, which is why Kait is concerned in handcraftsmanship and artisanship using yarns that comes from natural fiber (eco-friendly and harmony with nature).
Kait believes in the values of diligence, simplicity, harmony, function, and comfort.
Our Vision
Kait is an effort to engage the hand craftsmanship and artisanship.
The selection of materials limited only to high qualities & environmentally safe is also a way of kait to educate people about the understanding of living qualities.
Kait's enabling the women by giving them new abilities and capabilities towards a better living even tough in smaller scale.
Our Story
Founded by textile artist, former lecturer of Textile Craft Major in Jakarta Institute of Arts in 2011 as a small scale craft business.
The first product was quality knit baby set using spun silk and cotton yarn.
With deep concern towards hand craftsmanship, environmental issue, living qualities, arts, and education forms the scope of the work life.
Since the beginning, Kait has always concerned with hand craftsmanship qualities in order to increase the living quality through the arts.
After receiving several awards, in 2019 became limited company under the name PT. Seroja Kreasi Nusantara under the umbrella of brand KAIT Handmade.

set up in 2011 by passion and love of handcrafted products in Malang, East Java, Indonesia.

collaborate with artisans across Java , the yarns travels from city to city to meet talented hands with special and unique skill in each region.
many talented hands were involved in the making of KAIT artworks, from yarn plying, knitting, crocheting to batik processing and dyeing resulting a unique item.
we choose this unique production method for we respect life quality , a sustainable craft in each region, artisans family and life ecosystem, also for empowering women artisans in their regions.
The production method design we choose has awarded Kait to receive Good Design Award 2018 in Tokyo, Japan, for solving problems, play a role, and lead to creation of society where everyone can lead a rich and creative life.
